Export a Design File
- After you have assigned the names that you want associated with the lines of the design file, in the Designs pane, click Export Design.
- In the Product field, select the product to which you want to save the design.
- In the Output Format field, select the file format in which you want to save design file.
- In the File Path field, click the Ellipsis button.
- Select the location to which you want to save the design file.
- In the File name field, type a name for the design file.
- Click Save.
- The Save As form closes.
- In the Save Geometry form, click OK.
- Click Yes to export the file and replace the existing file. Click No to return to the Save Geometry form and type a new unique file name for the exported design file.
The Save Geometry form appears.
The Save As form appears.
Note: The default file name provided is the name of the scenario.
If a file with the same name and extension exists in the directory, a message is displayed asking you to confirm that you want to replace the existing file.
The design file is saved to the file format specified.
If the export was to a Surpac string file, the names of the segments are stored in the D1 field of the first point of each segment.
Note: GEOVIA MineSched does not change the geometry of the design file. The only change made by MineSched is the addition of the Name to a parameter field (in Surpac strings, to the D1 field). No other parameters are exported to the design file. The direction of the lines is not changed, even if the mining direction has been reversed in MineSched.
